!Impulse3 is the "Programmers Reference Manual" for the Impulse system. It describes (in much too much detail, really) the design of the Impulse system and the Impulse module which runs it.
!MMSpec describes how the mail merge system in Impression works and how external applications should use Impulse to drive it.
!Rough is the first draft of the users view of Impressions mail-merge system which was rewritten to become part of the latest edition of the Impression manual.
